报告人简介:
葛希芝,荣誉退休教授,曾就职于中密西根州大学和斯坦福大学人类学系。主要研究中国(包括台湾)少数民族、阶层和性别关系。代表性的著作有:《台湾社会中的人类学》(Hill Gates, Emily Martin Ahern, eds., 1981. The Anthropology of Taiwanese Society, Stanford University Press);《中国工人阶级生活》(Hill Gates, 1987,Chinese Working-class Lives: Getting by in Taiwan, Cornell University Press);《中国之引擎》(Hill Gates, 1996, China's Motor: AThousand Years of Petty Capitalism, Cornell UniversityPress);《寻找成都》(Hill Gates, 1999, Looking for Chengdu: A Woman's Adventures in China (Anthropology of Contemporary Issues), by Cornell University Press)。近期,她主要研究20世纪初期中国的女性劳动,包括裹脚与经济的关联、及在这一风俗中对过分强调性爱冲动的挑战。
